Maintenance and Repair
When a governor is received at our workshop, it is first tested in as-received condition to check its operation and record its performance.
The governor is then dismantled, cleaned and inspected. Required spare parts and repair kits are identified and reported to the customer for approval. After repair and assembly, the governor is calibrated and tested on a dedicated test bench according to the required specifications.
After final testing, the unit is packed and prepared for dispatch.
On-Exchange Service
When there is limited time for overhaul, or when the vessel cannot wait for a workshop repair, INJEGOV can provide governor exchange units, depending on availability.
The customer provides the governor type and part number. INJEGOV prepares a suitable exchange unit and provides instructions for installation and commissioning. After the exchange unit is installed onboard, the old governor can be returned for inspection or reconditioning.
This service helps reduce downtime and supports urgent vessel schedules.
Governor Retrofits
Governor retrofit may be required when an existing governor is obsolete, unreliable, difficult to maintain or no longer supported with spare parts.
INJEGOV can support retrofit solutions for marine engine governors and related control systems. The aim is to replace outdated equipment with a reliable and serviceable solution that meets the technical requirements of the engine.
Spare Parts
INJEGOV can supply spare parts, motors and repair kits for different governor types and actuator systems.
Spare parts can be supplied for repair, overhaul, exchange service or emergency support, depending on stock availability and customer requirements.
Remote Support
Some governor issues can be related to adjustment, settings or operation. In these cases, INJEGOV can provide remote troubleshooting support by phone, email or video call.
If the issue cannot be solved remotely, our team can advise on the next technical steps, including onboard attendance, workshop repair, spare parts supply or exchange unit support.
